Micah’s Backpack takes groups to volunteer at Feeding America Southwest Virginia. For this spring, a group will go up on the third Tuesday (3/19, 4/16, and 5/21) from 9-noon. Based on the predictions for wet snow beginning tonight and continuing into tomorrow afternoon, we have decided to cancel the Midweek Lenten Service and Meal schedule for tomorrow evening. We will continue our Midweek Lenten meals and services on Wednesday, March 13.

Thanks to the 17 volunteers who helped pack and distribute over 90 bags for the Seniors at Warm Hearth. We had another excellent night and added 7 new Seniors to the program. Given the predictions of ice and freezing rain for tomorrow morning, the Happy-Go-Lucky Senior Luncheon scheduled for tomorrow has been rescheduled for Tuesday, March 5 at noon.
During Lent, we will have midweek meals and services using Holden Evening Prayer. The meal begins at 6 PM and the service begins at 6:45 PM on Feb. 20, 27 and March 6, 13 and 20.
