A Thrivent sponsored group from our area will be going a Mission Trip in 2013 to Joplin, MO. More than 8000 homes were either damaged or destroyed by tornadoes. Over 17,000 Meals Delivered So far this school year, Micah’s Backpack has delivered over 17,000 meals to 235 hungry students in Blacksburg. You can see a complete report on the ministry being accomplished in the Micah’s Backpack: Sharing the Story – Nov. 2012 report.
This year, the Community Thanksgiving Meal served approximately 150 at St. Michael and sent out another 30 to 40 meals to people in the community.
